The eiffel tower

The Eiffel Tower is situated in the center of Paris. It was designed by Alexandre Gustave Eiffel and it was built between 1887 and 1889. It's a monument to see the capacity of the builders in Paris. The tower is made of iron. From the outside it's a big triangle, and his supports are four legs. Inside you can go up with an elevator and you can see all Paris. It's very beautiful. The structure is big. I visited the tower once two years ago, and the thing which I like is the composition of the tower and the garden around the Eiffel Tower.

My best friend isn't talking to me at the moment and I'm not sure what's the problem. I've also received one or two unfriendly messages recently. Unfortunately, I haven't got other friends and I feel very unhappy. What should I do?

Dear Pau

If I were you, I wouldn't be too worried about this. Are you sure these people are your friends?
Obviously, you should talk to them as quickly as possible. You must speak honestly to them and tell them that you are worried.
As for the texts, you must try no to think about them. Unfortunately, people are strange sometimes, and you have to live with it.

I'd like to be...

My ambition is to be an artist job. My parents were happy, with my decision.
I want to study at the Tetra institute of Barcelona. I would if I study a lot and these things.
I'd like make lots of money. My hobbies are watching football and play games.

The Future

In my opinion our lives will be easier but unhealthier in the future. We'll create some pollution, and scientists will create robots which will do difficult jobs. I think we might have more time for entertainment.
I think it's important that we colonise space. If we don't live on other planets, we won't have enough food or space for all of the people earth.
In general I feel pessimistic about the future. But I believe that people will be able to be responsible and t0o live in space

Frankenstein

ACTIVITIES FRANKENSTEIN

The Writer: Mary Shelley in (30 August 1797 – 1 February 1851) was a British novelist, short story writer, dramatist, essayist, biographer, and travel writer, best known for her Gothic novel Frankenstein: or, The Modern Prometheus (1818). She also edited and promoted the works of her husband, the Romantic poet and philosopher Percy Bysshe Shelley. Her father was the political philosopher William Godwin, and her mother was the philosopher and feminist Mary Wollstonecraft.

The Plot: The death of his mother during childbirth started violently Victor Frankenstein of his life in Geneva. Since that day, his obsession will be to vanquish death and travels to Inglostadt where he began his medical studies. There he meets the sinister Professor Waldman, who was rumored that she spent her youth exploring the possibilities of creating a human being. Victor not only interested in their experiments, but is willing to go to the end. When I finally get it, you get a horrible monster that nobody wants and that just learning to read, write and end up killing the wife of Victor Frankenstein, his father and his son.

Characters: Victor Frankenstein: The film protagonist is a researcher and reaches his objective.
Frankenstein: It’s a monster that film goes wrong. Kill everyone and create by Victor Frankenstein.
The other characters would be secondary:
Father of Frankenstein, Caroline Beaufort, Elizabeth Lavenza, Henry Clerval, Lacey family.

Solar Car

This strange car doesn't use petrol... it uses the sun!!
The car took part in the world Solar Challenge 2009, Australia.
32 solar cars from 17 countries drove from the north to the south of Australia- a distance of 3.021km- using only the sun's energy. The challenge was to show that solar cars really work.
So perhaps one day, we will all have solar cars!

Mr Monster

A plumber from England loved Monster Munch crisps so much that he changed his name... to Monster Munch! He eats Monster Munch for brakfast, lunch and dinner! I know it's a bit extreme, he says.
But I just can't get enough of them.

Chocolat Cake

Ingredients:
Chocolate 200gr coverage (70%)
200gr butter
90grs flour
150gr sugar
4 eggs
40grs cocoa
1 / 2 on yeast Royal

1-Melt the chocolate and butter in the microwave.
2-Separate the whites and yolks. The clear point to mount the snow with half the sugar.
Beat separately the yolks with half the sugar to whiten them.
3-Mix the yolks with the chocolate, butter and cocoa.

4-Then add the egg whites carefully so as not to lose too much volume.

Finally mix the sifted flour and yeast.
5-Put the dough into the mold and bake in preheated oven at 180 º C for 25 minutes.
Allow to cool and turning. Put chocolate on top.
Bon appetit!

A profile of sport or a craze

Football
Football has existed since 1846, but its origins are more than 2000 years old. It started in England, but now there are clubs around the world. It is the most popular sport in the world.

The biggest international championship of football is world cup soccer, which started in 1930. Women have competed in the championship since 1980-1990.
Football also became an Olympic sport in 1896.

One of my favourite competitors is Lionel Messi. Messi became world champion in the 2009. He's from Argentina. He has won a golden boot.

Mini-chess Guiness World Record

This is the smallest chess set in the world! It is 3,2 cm by 3,2, and it's magnetic so the pieces don't fall off when you play. It was made by Jaspal Singh Kalsi, from India, who makes other miniature models. But how can he see the King and Queen when he plays?

It's robochef!

Imagine coming home for school to find a robot cooking your dinner! Well, that's possible now in Japan.
The robot stirs the ingredients in a bowl, pours them into a pan and servers your food. It also asks you what sort of sauces and condiments you would like. But if you want to understand, you'll have to learn Japanese!

An email

Hi Marc
I'm writing this email from Banyoles. The weather is really temperate at the moment and I really like it here because the people are going swimming in the lake. We're driving around the country and we're stopping in different places.

We've just arrived here in Girona. In the last few days we've driven in beautiful forests and we've seen some fantastic cathedrals. So far I've really enjoyed the flood and we haven't had any other experiences.

Tonight we're staying in small house near the city of Girona. Tomorrow we're going to travel by bus thought the city. It should be fun.

A brochure for a sports and health club

Welcome to Club Natació Banyoles. Here, near the lake in Banyoles, you can relax or do exercise. Our club is the best because the people who work here are friendly and polite.

At the Club Natació Banyoles we have two gyms, so if you're energetic enough you can do some exercise. Or perhaps you can spend some time snorkelling in our private lake.

After two or three days at the club, people feel better and they look years younger.

The Chronicles of narnia

During the second World war, four children were sent to the countryside. Ib the new house they found a magical wardrobe which made them appear in Narnia. They met a beaver who told them about the prophecy. The witch captures Edmund, one of the brothers went to the war against the white witch. When the said raised, the lion woke up and it wen to the war. After winning it, the brothers and the lion are going to help all his friends petrified by the witch. Then, they crown the four brothers, naming them kings. The four brothers lived many years in Narnia. But one day, hunting a reindeer, they saw the lantern and the wardrobe, and they returned to his reality.
